When the fifth-generation 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo debuted, it was the fastest street-legal 911 ever released and rightfully lauded as the greatest 911 yet. With a 3.6-litre flat-six, it was beyond fast and its wider stance, all-wheel drive and ample tweaks resulted in seamless, perfect shifting and handling. With over $180,000 in performance enhancements, this 911 Turbo Coupe is easily the finest example on the road. Modifications include a Syvecs S8 (Engine Control Unit) with CAN Bridge that delivers a dual-injector lower manifold GT3RS air distributors and ES Motor plenum, an 82mm throttle body, PWM fuel pump control as well as sensors for flex fuel, cooling, 5 bar MAP, then EGT and EMAP on both banks. A $45,000 full engine build by Evospec LLC includes a 4.0-litre engine with GT3; its 8,800 rpm capable with a capacity of an additional 2,000 horsepower! The rebuild encompasses an Auto Verdi 3 stage racing oil pump, TiAL Xona 8264s Turbochargers with turbo speed sensors, and an ATI crankshaft damper. The fuel system also received an overhaul with a JMS PM-2000 FuelMax V2 Fuel Pump Voltage Booster, Holley VR2 Brushless Fuel Pump, as well as a total transmission rebuild by Bill Rader Motorsports. The rebuild includes GT2RS Mainshaft, new steel synchros with 2nd gear Porsche Motorsports synchro, CMS billet 1-2, 3-4 shift fork, straight-cut 3rd gear, custom 3-5 gears, and steel under-bearings 1-4. Other upgraded amenities include a Tilton triple-carbon clutch with flywheel, ERP adjustable rear upper control arms, Driveshaft Shop Stage 5 axles, Toucan touchscreen display, Porsche OEM GT3 steering wheel, EVOMS x-pipe exhaust, Protomotive 4 3D intake, Nitto rear tires and Michelin Pilot Super Sport front tires, Porsche Tequipment roll bar, M&W Pro-16b ignition system, numeric racing shifter and shifter cables, HRE 18” wheels, GT3 brake calipers and rotors as well as adjustable coil-over suspension with upgraded anti-roll bars.
