c. 1950s Fuji Go Devil Scooter

This was a pretty advanced scooter, considering it had a swing arm suspension and steep steering rake. Built by Fuji (also the parent company of Subaru), the Go Devil was what some called a “suitcase bike". Designed to fold up into a compact package, it could be carried in a zip up bag. Theoretically, you could check it on your airplane flight and have instant transportation when you arrive at your destination! There were several companies marketing portable scooters during this time period.
