Kawasaki surprisingly released this 53 HP twin-cylinder model amidst their sea of multi-cylinder offerings. It shared many components with the multis that kept production costs down. It is believed that they wanted the niche vacated by earlier British parallel twins such as Triumph and BSA. To deal with the inherent vibration in large twins, they had a system of counterbalance weights. It reduced vibration, but consumers still complained. This unit is another time warp piece with only 176 miles.
