Large scale model of famous Waco Model E airplane. Built to replicate NC20961 purchased new by famed Kansas City pioneer aviator Tex LaGrone. Constructed primarily of balsa wood with fabric covering, accurated graphics include the factory logos and markings of the plane as it was delivered to him at the factory in the late 1930s. It is fitted with large single-cylinder engine of unknown make. Engine will need servicing and repairs to the right lower wing are needed to become air worthy. 56" wingspan, 47.5" fuselage, 13.5" high.
