Originally built by the British Motor Corporation, the first Mini Mokes would roll off the assembly line in 1964 and were intended to be used for army purposes. The Moke name would change ownership in 2017 when it was rebranded as Moke America. At Moke America, they reengineered the entire car, while keeping Moke’s classic design and spirit alive. They made the car bigger, wider and stronger. It feels sturdier than the old Mokes and the wheels were raised from 13-inches to 14-inches, so it’s taller. Most importantly Moke did away with their gas-powered engines and went fully electric. The charging cable can be plugged into any 110-outlet, with a typical full charge taking about eight hours to finish. Once fully charged, this Mini Moke will go for 40 thrilling miles. Classified as a low-speed vehicle (LSV) the Moke is street legal on all roads with a posted 35 MPH or less. Originally intended for the army, the Mini Moke has found a whole new life and has come to be known as a green-friendly fun-under-the-sun electric car that can be enjoyed in almost all settings of life.
