Coming off the victory of WWII, Chevrolet decided to roll out the same models they did before the war had started. It wasn’t until 1950 that Chevrolet introduced its first major redesign since the war, named the Advance-Design. The all-new trucks came in a light and medium series and kept Chevrolet on the top of the market. The trucks were simple and rugged, yet modern and more stylish than anything General Motors had previously built. The appearance was not the only improvement, as the interior cabin saw major improvement as well. The cabs were much larger and more comfortable and had a bench seat with improved seat cushion padding and could now seat up to three adults. Occupants no longer had to open the bottom part of the windshield for natural air-conditioning, as outside ventilation was provided through a louvered cowl vent on the passenger side, a flip-open vent on the driver’s side, and a vent on the cowl.

Carrying all those improvements for the 1950 model year comes this Chevrolet 3100 Pickup. A classic American icon, it wears a nice shade of Windsor Blue Poly with a good amount of loving patina throughout the body. It sits on Radial AT All-Terrain blackwall tires, with a locking spare tire tucked underneath the wood floor bed. The cabin comes with a single maroon upholstered bench seat and complementing gray dashboard. The interior is also equipped with a heater and defroster switch. The mechanics are reported to be in running order, and the new for-the-year telescopic shock absorbers allow for an overall improved riding experience over its previous models. Power comes from Chevrolet's tried and true 216-cubic-inch inline six-cylinder engine which produces 90 horsepower and is backed by a column-mounted three-speed manual transmission. A classic American-designed pickup, it comes ready to run errands to and from town, as well as partake in local parades and festivals.
