Early-1960s Triumph T-100 Desert Scrambler

Before the advent of lightweight Japanese off-road bikes, the “King” was the 500cc Triumph parallel twin. This was the “go to” unit for such desert greats, Bud Ekins and Steve McQueen. This unit has been stripped of all non-essential bits. It appears to have a Betor fork and a stainless-steel fender. A lightweight alloy oil tank has been fitted. Standard Triumph tank and a Bates style seat are complemented by two Triumph TT style straight pipes. Another one of those “Only in America” bikes.
