1980 Suzuki GS1100
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE

gallery

The 1100's inaugural year was 1980. Suzuki was now going lock step with other Japanese motorcycle manufacturers in showing that “size matters". As a street bike, an 1100 would always be popular in the states. A new niche was developing for drag bikes. Here Suzuki was able to shine with their advanced A-frame design. The DOHC set up facilitated breathing with its four valves per head. Suzuki called this twin swirl combustion chamber or TSCC. It was, in essence, a copy of a Cosworth design. Honda had both the CBX and the 1100F in this league, while Kawasaki had its GPZ series. None could match the GS1100. This unit shows 2,600 miles.
