This flag is from the 2003 Daytona 500 that was won by Michael Waltrip and signed by the field. This is the last Daytona 500 flag that Union 76 ever made. This flag is among the rarest of NASCAR collectibles because of the unique history behind them. The official checkered flag custom was started by the Pure Oil Co. around 1959 and continued to be a part of the NASCAR/UNOCAL tradition until the exit of Union 76 at the end of 2003. The autographs were obtained at the Daytona 500 event from the race car drivers during normal track activities, i.e., practice, happy hour, qualifying and last but not least, race day. Each day is distinctive, with the individual drivers personalized signatures contributing greatly to the value of the flag. Comes with COA.
