Vintage original sign from the studios of WCEC-AM operating from Rocky Mount in North Carolina. This station was very progressive in programming for the African American community in the late 1950s and early 1960s and hired Joe Louis Hunter, a popular African American disc jockey. WFMA was the FM-counterpart to WCEC and continues to broadcast with those call letters to this day. Both signs are formed from galvanized metal and are in good condition.
