468 Chevy big block, 700+ HP, TH400 automatic transmission, custom chassis, BDS supercharger and 871 blower kit, FAST fuel injection, Mark Williams differential
This no-expense-spared 1933 Willys Pro-Street is sure to grab the attention of anyone and everyone it goes by. Built for enjoyment on the road and track, this blazing custom has it all. Not every Willys can boast about putting out a blazing 700 horsepower like the example being offered here. Reaching that 700 horsepower was by no accident, as the hardware used in this build can prove it. A 468 big block Chevy was selected to be at the center of the build, surrounded by a BDS supercharger and 871 blower kit that accelerates this build into a whole new speed and price bracket. Lightweight aluminum heads, FAST fuel injection kit, and wrapped Hooker headers can also be seen under the hood adding to the flare and power of the build. The entire engine bay is well-presented with a chrome finish that will speak for itself at any car show. Backing up that big block is an automatic transmission with a Precision Performance Products air shifter. Located in the trunk of the build lies a bottle to help with the air shifting mechanics.
A custom Willys Unlimited chassis was used as the base of the build, with many top-of-the-line parts adding on to it. A Mark Williams differential was used in the rear with a top tier carbon fiber driveshaft. Coming off the driveshaft is a four-link coilover suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. An all-fiberglass body by Willys Unlimited was used as the shell of the build. The exterior is finished in a gorgeous black and silver two-tone paint job with aggressive green flames that combine with the chrome Budnik rims to create an impressive stance. Keeping with the no-expense-spared theme, a custom electric motor flip front clip was used on the hood, meaning all you have to do is click a button in the cab and the hood will automatically rise by itself, just another thing to really set yourself apart anywhere you go.
Inside, you’ll find two Ogden custom leather bucket seats and a chrome finish throughout. An industry leading Vintage Air air-conditioning and heating system was also used on this fresh build. Adding to the cruising experience, a high-quality Kenwood radio and speakers were utilized. This impressive build has many select custom parts that help set it apart from anything else on the show circuit. There is a reason that hot rodders everywhere appreciate and commonly use the Willys coupes of the '30s as their choice for the basis of their dream car build. They have impressive usability, instantly recognizable looks and continue to turn heads at shows all over the world, as will be the case with this stunning hand built creation from the Eric McConnell Collection.
